1950's

 

I have just discovered the gorgeous website of The Vintage Wedding Dress Company. 

1900's

 

This unique business sources gowns from London, Paris and across the world.  Although the do not allow purchasing online, by appointment only in their central London showroom, the website is a great resource for the classic styling of a particular era.

1920's

Gowns are sorted by decades, from 1900s through to 1970s.

1930's

Charlie Brear, the creator behind The Vintage Wedding Dress Company says "It is so hard when searching for a vintage dress to know whether you can restore something to its former glory. I buy individual pieces that I love and as a company we provide a service that does just that."

1940's

They hold a rare and diverse selection of gorgeous gowns and accessories from the Victorian era right through to the early 1970s, which are all beautifully cleaned and restored and can be tailored for you to a couture finish.

Lake Tahoe Wedding

This is an excert of a gorgeous wedding as featured on The Wedding Chicks, it's a great site, check it out.

The bride is a lovely photographer who was featured here Courtney Wilson Photography. The groom, I happen to know personally and is childhood friend of mine. So, it is quite lovely that I get to showcase this wedding. It does not hurt that Courtney and Sean’s wedding is filled with thoughtful details and personal touches.

 

 

 

One of our favourite details was the place cards. We searched the internet for any pictures we could find of our guests. Using the beauty of facebook, we found snapshots, from safe to totally embarrassing, but if it was on the web, it was fair game! We turned them into Polaroids and with DIY magnets favors including vintage pictures of Lake Tahoe. Guests were laughing hysterically when they saw their old prom photos and Halloween costumes from years past as their place card. We’re still hearing comments about them!
